27 is the new...27

Sarah, Em, Andy

Last weekend we gathered to celebrate Andrea's birthday at US Pizza. It usually comes up at Birthday celebrations how quickly we are getting older, but for some reason lately I don't mind so much. I wouldn't trade my life to be 21 all over again (ok maybe for one night so I could skip class and eat chicken finger Friday). It is nice to sort of feel settled, and happy with where I am right now. Only a few short months left of my 26th year, and I will continue to try and love each and every day.
Happy Birthday Andrea!

Woof Woof

What an adorable pillow in the shape of little Wrigs! This site has basically every dog breed (and a few kitties) that I'm familiar with! Sorry no mixes haha. You can get 30% off with the code DCPILLOW, thanks to Daily Candy! I think taking this on business trips would be funny, and comforting.

Conversation Hearts

One year ago, I came home from work to find a bottle of Pinot Noir sitting on my front step with a simple note from Matt wishing me a Happy Valentine's Day. It's amazing to me how quickly this year has flown by, and here we are getting to spend Valentine's day (weekend) together. We decided to go eat on Friday night to beat the rush, and had fun trying out Savor, a new restaurant. We then met up with Theresa and Chris, and Michelle and Brandon for a drink at the Wine Cellar. We spent actual Valentine's Day being lazy, watching movies and ordering in! I picked up homemade cheesecake and chocolate strawberrys from The Little Bread Co, and that was DIVINE!

My Valentine

On Sunday, Matt and I made a trip over to Tulsa to finally meet Jackson Rew. He was so adorable, and Lauren and Daniel seem to be totally adjusted to their new addition (I'm sure they would claim otherwise)! It was hilarious to see how the dogs are also adjusting to Jackson. They often gave him a little lick if they could get close enough! I can't wait to see Jackson as he gets bigger and features keep changing.

He looks so peaceful with mom and pops!

Oh buddy

Tough life- eating, sleeping and being precious!

Workin' For the Weekend

I am a little behind on posting pictures due to the ice storm. Here is a quick catch up of the last couple of weekends. Two weeks ago we celebrated Theresa's birthday and new home! This included drinks and dessert at her house, shot gunning beer in her new kitchen (thanks Kelvin), and dancing at Fix. The next weekend after the ice we cured cabin fever with girls night at Bordinos then out on Dickson Street. We tried a new bar named "Shots" where everything is served in ice cube glasses, very messy but entertaining. The next night Matt and I headed to Big Cedar for some R&R and outlet shopping. We had a fantastic dinner at the steak house, and enjoyed the drastically warmer weather!

Birthday gal!

After the shot gunning exercise, Kelvin obviously won

Wrigley's Best Friend, Gatsby!

And this weekend...low key, movies, cooking out, and finally-my favorite performance during the Grammys...

Match Point

My first (official) tennis match is next Wednesday! After almost 1.5 years of lessons, my tennis team is all signed up for USTA league team tennis. I think this will be a blast, but right now I am quite terrified. We just learned how to score a tie breaker in our lesson last night, and I'm LOST. Thank goodness I am only playing doubles this time, so I have a buddy. Needless to say, we are getting together before next Wednesday for some more practice.

I just have to tell ya'll this, though it might be TMI. I was in TJ MAxx browsing the work out wear, and found a lot of cute Nike tops. As I am in the dressing room trying all these tops on, I bust out laughing, and can't quit. As I look in the mirror I have on tights, knee high black boots, a Nike work out top, and i'm practicing my serve in the mirror to make sure the top was comfortable. Oh god, I looked hilarious. I guess this wasn't the day to wear a dress to work.

Till next week, I'll let you know if we win our first match! We will look adorable reguardless!
