Half Time

Well somehow time has flown by my friends, and we will be welcoming Baby Curry into our lives at the end of June.  Since I am over my half way point, I wanted to capture some of my thoughts about this pregnancy.  Knock on some serious wood, but I have felt pretty great.  Sure, I was extremely tired the first trimester...but I haven't gotten sick at all, and lately have felt full of energy and excitement (bigger but great).  This is such a crazy time, and I am trying to embrace all these changes as best I can.
Once we found it we were having a little girl...the world just changed.  Overnight, I started calling the baby "she"...and daydreaming about names....and feeling her move.  Truly the most amazing feeling in the world.  Her name is still a work in progress, Matt and I are trying one out to see if it will stick.  Her nursery is now painted, and we are quickly starting to plan her little space!  One of the main reasons that the past 22 weeks have flown by, is because we are renovating our home before we move in..which requires a lot of time, thought, energy, creativity, you name it.  I am anxious to move in a few short weeks, and start to nest!

I stole this from my friend Marianne...what a fun way to capture this moment on the 40 week journey.

How Far Along? 22 weeks tomorrow!

Total Weight Gain: Well since I just ate my weight in pasta, I'll go with my last scale experience...about 12lbs.  Seems on track, but feels like a lot on my short frame!

Maternity Clothes: Once my skinny maternity jeans came in, I haven't looked back!  I am living in black leggings and skinny (maternity) jeans...though I am still in the majority of my pre-preggo tunics and tops. I ordered a few work things from Gap, and I swear they are HUGE, but supposedly I'll fit into them sooner or later;). This week I am in Philadelphia for our J&J National Sales Meeting, and it is the first week I have to dress up a little more than normal. So far so good, but I have a feeling I'll be trading in my 5in heels for some "reasonable" heels soon.

Stretch Marks: Nope, thank goodness.

Best Moment This Week: Last Saturday, seeing the nursery painted...and just envisioning our life at the new house!

Sleep: Oh sleep...I am mastering the art of multiple pillows all around me...trying to find some way.  any way.  that I can sleep without being on my stomach!

Miss Anything: Let's see, wine would be at the top of my list, especially at our team dinner tonight....Other than that, I don't really miss anything, except being able to fit into my leopard skinny jeans.

Movement? Yes!! When we went in for our last ultrasound, I told the DR I hadn't felt her yet...he told me to be quiet and still right after dinner tonight and focus...and sure enough, I immediately connected the images I had seen earlier that day, with the feeling of her moving.  And it is SUCH a joy.

Food Cravings: Maybe I should change this question to Food Aversion.  I have always been a pickle and olive lover, so going through two jars of pickles a week is sort of the norm.  I just feel like whatever I "loved" before, I really love now.  My favorite meal for about a week straight was hummus, pita chips, pickles and cottage cheese.  As for aversions...I can't stand the sight smell or thought of meat!  It just doesn't sound appealing at all, which is so strange!

Belly Button In Or Out? In

Symptoms: Um..just the normal stuff...hungrier, a little tired at night...

Wedding Ring On or Off? On

Happy Or Moody Most Of The Time? Pretty happy

Looking Forward To: Moving into our home in a few short weeks, setting up the crib, and sharing our girls sweet name!
